You may not here from me much in the next couple of weeks. I am participating in a month long show. It is in a school house at a well known nursery. We have a big tulip festival here. I'm excited and feeling vulnerable at the same time. Here are a couple of pieces I've done so far. Thank you so much Stephanie Lee I recently took her workshop and all I can say is she's fabulous. She has a new book out that I couldn't resist. Oh, I tried but it is so good that I couldn't go home without it. If you get a chance to take a workshop with Stephanie....do!
Oh how I wish you could see the texture and colors more. It's orange but not quite as orange as my screen shows. The "flower box" is an old drawer handle turned upside down. The texture on the bottom is burlap and plaster of paris.
The flower here is a casting. Stephanie teaches this in her book. Again I wish the picture was a bit better. The stem of the flower is wire with wire wrapped around it. The leaves....green dryer lint in wax. I would LOVE your opinion.
