Crystal Neubauer

Sue who says you aren't a great writer? this post is just another example of how WELL you DO write!

I visited The Art Institute in Chicago this past year for the first time and saw many works of art in person that I had previously seen in books or online. Lee Bontecou was an inspiration for my wax & wire work but seeing her incredible sculpture there was a shock - beyond words to describe what it did to me to stand next to it, to be close enough to touch. No, the pictures had not done it justice, and I love that you used this analogy in our meeting in person for the first time. It is so true for how I felt as well and now feel so separated in miles from one of my sincerest and dearest friends!

I can't wait to read more of your journey and see what you have been up to creatively - your work is amazing, as you are, my friend!!

What a great post, but I'm dying to read more. I was at Art & Soul, and know the feeling and the charge you can get from it. Good luck with your thoughts, and your plans, and whatever path you're going to take.
